The ways in which I submit.

Master asked me to make a list of all the ways I submit. I’m not sure what he expected, but what he got was a T-chart which I had to stop after 4 pages due to time constraints.

As a teacher, graphic organizers are a serious bit of fun for me. Somewhere in the back of my mind I have got a Dom & Sub venn diagram brewing. For this one, I divided the ways I submit into two columns; General Submission, followed by routines, rituals, and chores. I choose these two topics because I felt like one, the routines, rituals and chores is easier to see, but the other, general submission is harder to do. In daily submission I am giving up more control, I am fighting against my old self, and hear my internal dialog. I am purposefully giving up control, even when I don’t necessarily want to.

Honestly, it turned out to be more than I thought it would be. After 4 pages, I found my Master quoting Ross on Friends when Rachel wrote him a letter that rambled on for 4 pages – both sides! However, I know Mr.R didn’t find my writing rambling, but rather got a lot out of it. We had fought the night before, and I think it was somewhat cathartic for him.
